Arithmetic: especially a good grasp of fractions, division concepts and powers.
Algebra: including solving equations and simultaneous (systems) of equations.
Functions: basic function notation, what functions are and how they work.
Sketching basics: cartesian coordinates, basics of transformations.
Quadratics: all kinds of factorising, sketching and solving with null factor law.
*Optional: access to a Texas Instruments Graphics CAS Calculator (or similar). This is only required for the Applications section, but if you have one on hand it would be great practice!
*Optional: access to a copy of Mathematical Methods Units 1&2 Cambridge Senior Mathematics Australian Curriculum/VCE (Cambridge University Press 2015 publication). The homework in this course is set based on this textbook. While this is optional, I strongly suggest attempting the homework to help consolidate your knowledge!
