Andy, un Négateur doté de la capacité « Undead », cherche depuis longtemps une personne pouvant lui offrir une « vraie mort ». Fûko Izumo apporte le malheur à quiconque la touche en raison de sa capacité « Unluck ». Tous deux décident de rejoindre l'Union, une organisation qui a pour but de contrôler le monde et de le protéger des phénomènes inexpliqués. Ainsi ils explorent les mystères du monde tout en cherchant « la plus belle des morts qui soient ».

Depuis dix ans, Fuuko Izumo est atteinte d'une condition spéciale qui apporte un grand malheur à quiconque la touche, au point de causer la mort de ses proches. Alors qu'elle s'apprête à mettre fin à ses jours, elle est touchée par un homme étrange. Cependant, lorsque Fuuko retrouve le cadavre dudit homme, elle découvre que son corps se régénère et qu'il revient à la vie. Elle le nomme Andy, et apprend qu'il est immortel et que, comme elle, il souhaite aussi mourir. D'abord dédaigneuse, Fuuko décide finalement de faire équipe avec lui pour lui offrir la meilleure mort possible. Mais une mystérieuse organisation se cache dans l'ombre, espérant tirer profit des étranges capacités du duo.
