Описание: VMWare Fusion представляет собой мощное программное обеспечение, используемое для запуска и выполнения 32-bit и 64-bit приложений гостевых операционных систем Windows на компьютерах с платформой Mac. Одними из ключевых особенностей VMware Fusion являются так называемая возможность запуска 3D игр на платформе Windows, использование переносного устройств виде USB 2.0, плюс возможность скопировать файлы между разными виртуальными машинами.

Также к ключевым особенностям VMware Fusion относятся удобный интерфейс программы и простота ее использования. Известно, что VMware Fusion моментально начинает распознавать сектор жесткого диска, сформованный при помощи инструментов Boot Camp, а также дает возможность загружать в виртуальный компьютер ОС Windows, которая была установлена при помощи программы виртуализации Apple.

Security Issues
[*]VMware Tools Incorrect Folder Permissions Privilege Escalation. The access control list of the VMware Tools folder was incorrectly set. Exploitation of this issue may lead to local privilege escalation on Windows-based guest operating systems. The Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures project (cve.mitre.org) has assigned the name CVE-2012-1518 to this issue.
